The Staff Accountant – Corporate will be responsible for supporting the accounting department by performing various accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred work arrangement is hybrid based in American Fork, Utah with up to 10% travel as needed.
What you will do
Prepare and post monthly journal entries for areas including payroll, building leases, and other assigned areas of responsibility as required
Prepare Intercompany and affiliate entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all key assigned accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial reports
Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standards
Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirement
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to safeguard company assets
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant financial data
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
- Typically 2 to 4 years of related professional experience.
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or global equivalent in related discipline.
Basic understanding of industry practices
General proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures
Basic planning/organizational skills and techniques
Good decision making, analysis and problem solving skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic presentation and public speaking skills
