This is a hybrid position located in Coppell, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.
JOB SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant supports the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial records by performing core accounting functions, maintaining the general ledger, and supporting timely and accurate financial reporting. This role plays a key part in the month-end close process, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting while partnering with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial objectives.
This position requires strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge, and a collaborative mindset focused on continuous improvement and learning.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Operations
• Prepare and record journal entries to support accurate month-end close.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Perform month-end account reconciliations and investigate variances.
Reporting & Compliance
• Assist with preparation of internal financial statements and management reports.
• Support regulatory reporting and required filings.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
Cross-Functional Support & Process Improvement
• Assist with accounts payable processing and related reconciliations as needed.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and operational teams to support accurate financial outcomes.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
2 years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
Experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with accounting systems preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Information
Ability to learn and apply title industry concepts to accounting processes and financial reporting.
Willingness to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility over time.
