Accountant - Mandarin Bi-Lingual

We are looking for a determined bilingual Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. The goal for the position is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition. Confidentiality, excellent time management skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced office environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end accounts receivable cycle, including customer billing, collections, cash application, and account reconciliations to ensure timely payments and accurate financial reporting. 

• Investigate and resolve payment issues while maintaining effective communication with internal teams and customers to support cash flow management. 

• Calculate and report applicable taxes, ensuring compliance with relevant payment and filing regulations. 
• Prepare and reconcile monthly report and commission report in coordination with sales operations and finance team. 
• Manage month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and analyzing variances. 
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and local accounting standards. 
• Prepare monthly management reports and support financial analysis for business reviews, ad hoc requests, and interdepartmental projects. 

• Participate in financial review meetings and conduct variance follow-ups to support data-driven decision-making. 

• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures. 
• Provide technical accounting support and guidance to departments on revenue and expenditure classification. 
• Identify opportunities to improve data integrity, accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and system efficiencies. 
• Recommend enhancements to account structures, auditing procedures, and automation tools. 
• Support special projects and strategic finance initiatives as needed. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial operations and reporting. 

• Support ad hoc initiatives and collaborate with various teams to address evolving operational needs. 

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA or equivalent degree with 3+ years of accounting professional 

• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness 

• Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial data and generate reports, statements, and projections 

• Ability to interact with internal and external department with customer service mindset 

• Ability to work under pressure and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment 

• Thorough understanding of professional accounting principles, methods, and procedures. 

• Capability to analyze budgetary expenditures for compliance with relevant policies and procedures. 

• Aptitude for developing or refining complex accounting procedures, methods, or techniques. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook) 

• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Mandarin 

• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable  

• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
