Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Staff Accountant I based at our Billerica, MA location.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Maintain accurate accounting records to support timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure financial information is processed accurately and consistently in conformity with company policy and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Provide general accounting support to department managers and supervisors.
• Administer the fixed asset database, including recording additions, disposals, and depreciation entries.
• Assist with cost accounting functions, including inventory reconciliation, variance analysis, standard costing, and reporting.
• Perform monthly customer invoicing and support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis to support timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Interact with internal and external auditors.
• Maintain Project Cost and ReQlogic users, permissions, projects, routings, and employee status updates.
• Prepare periodic management reports and provide accounting analysis and special project support as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED / EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree (Bachelor’s of Science or Bachelor’s of Arts) in Accounting or Finance.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:

• Two or more years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of core accounting principles and GAAP.
• Experience supporting month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prepare financial reports and analysis for management.
• Experience working with auditors and supporting audit requests.
• High sense of urgency with strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
