Staff Accountant
Leesburg, FL | Hybrid After Training | $65,000–$80,000
The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a growing health and wellness manufacturer to add a Staff Accountant II to its close-knit accounting team.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk, stay in one lane, and simply check boxes. We’re looking for an energetic, personable, up-and-coming accounting professional who wants exposure to the broader business, enjoys working with different departments, and is excited to grow alongside a company.
You’ll join a three-person accounting department, working closely with the CFO and Bookkeeper while regularly partnering with Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Production.
Culture is a major part of what makes this opportunity unique. The team is looking for someone who is outgoing, curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. If you're passionate about health and wellness, enjoy wearing multiple hats, and want to build your career somewhere you can make an impact, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own key general ledger and month-end close responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations
- Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including invoicing and customer statements
- Analyze GL accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
- Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
- Support inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and standard costing
- Gain exposure to manufacturing and product cost accounting
- Review and reconcile payroll-related accounting entries
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Support internal and external audits
- Partner directly with Operations, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Production
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls
- Utilize technology and AI tools to improve efficiency and productivity
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Experience working within an ERP environment; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Strong Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas
- Exposure to inventory, costing, or a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Detail-oriented and analytical, but equally comfortable communicating and collaborating with others
- A go-getter mentality with the desire to learn, take ownership, and continue developing
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a growing, entrepreneurial environment
- Personable and outgoing with the ability to build relationships across accounting and operations
- Genuine interest in health, wellness, nutrition, or the broader consumer products space is a plus
Why This Role Stands Out
This is an opportunity to join a growing organization where you won’t be just another accountant on a large finance team. You’ll have visibility across the business, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to learn how accounting connects to the actual production and operations side of a company.
For someone early in their accounting career who is hungry to grow, there is a strong potential career path toward Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, and eventually Controller as the company continues to expand.
Compensation & Benefits
