Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable 

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Staff Accountant – Accounts Receivable.  In this role, you will perform financial information processing, reporting, and analysis of the company by performing the following duties personally or in conjunction with other accounting staff.

Pay Rate: $20 - $23 per hour 

Key Responsibilities   

• Assist the sales effort in establishing customer credit in accordance with Kalahari Resorts’ policies and procedures, to include but not limited to the application process, reference checks, credit limits, direct bill listing, deposit requirements and other credit related activities. 

• Respond effectively to customer inquiries on a timely basis. Communicate all issues and/or disputes to operating departments and supervisor. 

• Ensure proper internal control by monitoring the guest ledger, advance deposit ledger and another other related subsidiary ledgers. 

• Maximize productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in finding and implementing solutions. 

• Perform other duties as requested by management. 

What We’re Looking For   

• A two-year college degree (accounting preferred) or equivalent education/experience. 

• Three to five years of employment in a related position (Finance/Accounting) with this company or other organization(s). Hospitality accounting is preferred. 

• A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.  

• Requires knowledge of the accounting, finance, and hospitality profession.
