Department Overview
This position resides within Bloom’s Stack Process Engineering team. This team is responsible for developing, characterizing and improving the processes used to manufacture and test solid oxide fuel cells. The position is based in our Fremont, California facility and is a fully on-site position.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop, characterize, document and release new processes into manufacturing.
- Improve yield and throughput performance of existing processes.
- Enable manufacturing to meet production goals through direct line support and analysis.
- Collaborate with equipment engineering, supplier quality, quality, maintenance and manufacturing personnel to identify areas for improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or a related discipline in engineering or physical science.
- Must be graduating between May 2024 and August 2025
Desired Qualifications
- Experience within a manufacturing or process environment.
- Hands-on aptitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate abstract ideas.
Employees in this position will have physical requirements such as the ability to lift 20 lbs, or to stand for minimum of 30 minutes. The person in this position will need to navigate congested production areas.
