Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Solid State Drive (SSD) systems engineer who has a passion for problem solving.

  • Successful candidate will collaborate with peer engineering teams across multiple domains (FW, HW, Platform, Validation, OS, drivers) to root cause issues exposed by internal validation as well as customer issues.
  • Candidate will debug SSD firmware and software (OS, driver, validation SW) to reach root cause on performance, reliability and functional issues.
  • Issues can be complex and will require strong collaboration with cross-functional teams (FW, HW, platform, validation, driver).
  • Candidate will use internal tools, PCIe/NVME protocol analyzers & FW debuggers to assist in reaching root cause.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering + 7 years experience in related field or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering + 5 years experience in related field
  • Candidate will have a strong understanding of NAND and SSD architectures
  • Experience developing and/or debugging embedded system firmware
  • Deep knowledge of NVMe/PCIe bus protocols & strong skills using PCIe/NVMe protocol analyzers/exercisers.
  • Fluent in Linux and Windows OSes and driver models.
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $118,860 - $196,720. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
