In your role as business continuity and trade compliance specialist you will ensure that our business continuity and trade compliance requirements are communicated to our suppliers, collaborate with suppliers and internal team members to ensure that business continuity and trade compliance plans are defined and followed through as needed, and timely feedback and support to our suppliers is provided. In addition you support onsite audits. In your role you are the linking pin between ASML’s internal (Sourcing Leads, Category Managers, Corporate Risk Managers) and external stakeholders (Suppliers, Insurance Company).
Role and responsibilities
As member of SS&P Risk and Trade Compliance team, responsibilities include but not limited to
Business Continuity Management
Maintain and support the ASML Supplier Business Continuity Management program.
Identify potential threats at specific suppliers within in the supply chain and identify the impact for business operations (scenario analysis).
Thoroughly evaluate financial risk within the supplier base.
Help define and drive improvement projects to increase supplier resiliency and effective risk mitigation by sending & receiving business continuity quick scans, requesting & reviewing supplier business continuity plans and providing guidance to Suppliers & Sourcing Leads on business continuity planning.
Facilitate and lead (external) business continuity audits at the suppliers’ production location(s).
Supporting Supplier Account Teams by helping them to remove all bottlenecks and constraints that block business continuity program progress.
Facilitate (senior) management discussions on risk mitigation solutions (e.g. preventive versus impact).
Trade Compliance Management
Support the execution of SS&P Trade Compliance requirements across Asia sourcing activities, including export controls, import regulations, tariffs, and supplier due diligence Act as the first point of contact for Asia SS&P teams on trade compliance questions, escalating complex cases to global Trade Compliance experts when required Manage and track locally and align with global team for trade compliance actions, risk items, and follow‑ups related to suppliers, sourcing projects, and regulatory changes Support training deployment and awareness for Asia SS&P teams based on global trade compliance materials and SharePoint content Collect and communicate Asia supply chain impact feedback to global Trade Compliance and relevant corporate stakeholders
Education and experience
Overall 10-15 years working experiences, 8+ of relevant experience in Sustainability and Business Continuity Management strategy and/or execution, preferably in a corporate, technology-related environment
Bachler / Master education in Enterprise Risk Management, Disaster Recovery, Supply Chain Resilience, Financial Risk, Law & International Trade relevant field
Familiar with Asia BCM regulations and industry
Familiarity with export/import controls, trade compliance concepts
Experience in BCM reporting frameworks and BCM indices
Experience in implementing BCM reporting requirements in an international company
Thorough understanding of policies and best practices of risk management
Business, operational, information security, financial and commercial acumen
Semiconductor supply chain background
Ability to manage topics/projects simultaneously and collaborate across functions
Skills
