Senior Java Developer (Spring Boot, Microservices, ECS)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java programming, strong knowledge of microservices, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role involves building and deploying Java-based microservices for our Rates Business on ECS container platforms.

Software Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java (11/17 or higher).
• Strong knowledge in Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Good knowledge in SQL and Python.
• Strong experience with ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of development standards and best practices.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain Java-based microservices for the Rates Business.
• Deploy microservices on ECS container platforms.
• Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Debug and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Java and container technologies.

Technical Skills:

• Excellent hands-on knowledge in Java (11/17 or higher).
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Good knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Strong understanding of ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Strong understanding of development standards and best practices.

Experience:

• 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Java development.
• Proven track record of building and deploying microservices.
• Experience working with container platforms such as ECS, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based microservices.
• Deploy microservices on ECS container platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions.
• Write, test, and debug code to ensure high-quality software.
• Monitor and optimize application performance.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in Java, microservices, and container technologies.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
