Zayo is seeking a Sr Wireless Network Engineer to be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the network infrastructure of our customers to ensure maximum uptime for their users. Our  Sr Wireless Network Engineer role can include design, configuration, documentation and troubleshooting network related items ranging from basic to complex. The  Sr Wireless Network Engineer is the primary escalation point for the local Managed Services team for all related support issues. This position will be primarily focused on enterprise management of our Meraki solution.

**This position is based in Tampa, FL**

Responsibilities:

• Installing, configuring, and support of Meraki network equipment.
• Maintain best practice documentation and other reference materials as needed to document procedures, and methods for the engineering team.
• Report network status to leadership.
• Provide assistance as needed to team members and operations teams for implementations, troubleshooting and repair of network installation and deployments.
• Providing courteous and professional communication with internal departments, clients, and vendors.
• Ensuring ZAYO Networks’ standards are followed from beginning-to-end for each client and internal department interaction.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
• Work escalations from the ZAYO NOC Support teams to troubleshoot issues and outages.
• Customer facing position, responsible for working with other network engineering teams
• Travel across the Scope of the client's networked facilities.
• Other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Network Engineering configuration and troubleshooting experience with exposure to the following areas:
• Required: strong knowledge of Meraki MX solutions for edge Networking & Security.
• Required: strong knowledge of Meraki MS & AP solutions for edge LAN services.
• Knowledge of Network Diagnostics, protocols, and disciplines, BGP, OSPF, QoS, SNMP, VLANS, STP and VRF-LITE.
• Knowledge of Ekahau Wireless Survey Application
• Ability to explain network related issues to both technical and non-technical internal and external teams.

Education/Experience:

• Desired: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work or military experience.
• Minimum of 5 (five) years’ experience as Tier 3 Support at an ISP/MSP
  OR
• Minimum of 5 (five) years' as a Wireless Network Engineer or higher supporting enterprise customers of all sizes.

Estimated Base Salary Range: $95,800 - $136,900 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.
