We are looking for an experienced Senior VMware (VCF) Engineer with 8+ years of expertise in VMware infrastructure, virtualization, and enterprise cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware vSphere, and VMware vCenter, along with a solid understanding of data center operations, infrastructure management, automation, and troubleshooting.

This role is suited for a technically strong professional who can design, implement, administer, and optimize VMware environments while ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability.


RequirementsKey Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
  • Administer and maintain VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter infrastructure across enterprise environments.
  • Manage VMware clusters, hosts, virtual machines, resource pools, templates, and virtual networking.
  • Perform VMware infrastructure upgrades, patching, migrations, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, availability, and performance across VMware environments.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, clusters, networking, storage, and virtual machines.
  • Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions for virtualized workloads.
  • Support workload domains, VCF components, and infrastructure services in accordance with operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with storage, networking, security, cloud, and application teams to resolve infrastructure dependencies and issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement long-term corrective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, configuration standards, operational procedures, and technical runbooks.
  • Support capacity planning, infrastructure optimization, and resource utilization initiatives.
  • Participate in infrastructure automation and process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
  • Ensure VMware environments adhere to enterprise security, compliance, and infrastructure standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when required.

  • Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability concepts.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional infrastructure teams.
  • VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or VCDX are desirable.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, or infrastructure-as-code tools is an added advantage.
