Do you have a passion for storytelling and a knack for translating complex information into engaging and accessible content?
We are seeking a Senior UX Writer who can help us shape the narrative of our innovative trading products — you thrive on understanding technical software products and find excitement in the fast-paced world of financial markets, and preferably futures trading. You will play a vital role in enhancing user engagement and the customer understanding of our futures trading platform by developing clear, compelling content. Your work will empower our traders to fully engage with our cutting-edge tools and services.
What you'll do:
- Write user-centric content to help the users easily navigate, understand, and make decisions to solve their problems
- Closely collaborate with design, research, PM, and data partners to understand user problems deeply. Craft content that simplifies complex concepts into approachable and actionable experiences
- Establish and streamline content creation, testing, review, feedback, and approval processes to fit closely with the product development process
- Develop UX writing guidelines specific to digital product experiences, building it on the current Marketing team's writing guidelines. Prioritize consistent voice and tone across the user journeys and ensure cohesion across offerings
- Incorporate and implement content research to ensure resonance and understanding for our users. Iterate and optimize based on user feedback, performance metrics, and industry trends. Be an expert in user needs, goals, and behaviors
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to team members and educate cross-functional partners on the role of UX writing and content strategy throughout the product development process
- Be part of a team, organization and culture that is user-focused and product-driven, with a focus on research and client-feedback
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of experience writing content for complex software products, preferably in fintech or a related industry
- A robust portfolio, demonstrating a range of styles across multichannel products, backed by research informed decisions
- Proven ability to distill complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand content
- Deep understanding of UX principles and user-centered content strategies
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and how to apply them to product content
- Adaptable, empathetic and solution-oriented
- Strong leader and collaborator—can confidently work with and clearly communicate with leads, directors, and above
- Self-starter: ability to effectively prioritize and manage projects to meet deliverables within agreed timeframes
