The Treasury department is responsible for managing some of the company’s most important financial assets and liabilities, ensuring optimal liquidity and mitigating financial risks. Led by a Treasurer, the Treasury team reports directly to the CFO and is part of the larger Finance Org. Supporting teams across the Finance Org., it provides significant opportunities for learning and career development.
About the Role:
Support the Treasurer/Senior Manager, Treasury in delivering the Company's treasury strategy in key areas including cash/liquidity management, currency risk and interest rate risk management. Support the management of the Company's equity program and credit facilities, including debt covenant compliance. This role will be a key link with other stakeholders to identify opportunities for incremental efficiency in key processes. The role holder must be comfortable interacting with senior leadership and will deputize for the Treasurer when unavailable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed cashflow forecasting and reporting. Coordinate daily cash management activities and present weekly/monthly cash plans. Take the lead in developing tools to improve cash forecasting accuracy and improving efficiency in cash management. Invest excess cash in line with the company’s cash investment policy, optimize liquidity for operational needs and manage cash concentration activities. Collaborate with Finance Business Partners for cash planning and forecasting purposes.
- Manage banking relationships, bank portals, KYC documentation and support the Treasurer in monitoring & executing treasury controls and authorizations related to the administration of bank portals and signing officers. Lead opportunities for automation to enable scalability of inter-dependent processes (vendor payments, cash receipts from customers and information reporting).
- Execute spot trades and record trades in the Company’s books. Key role in the management of the company’s currency hedging program including identifying hedgeable cashflow items and monitoring currency trends. Prepare hedge inception documentation and quarterly effectiveness testing and record mark-to-market movements in the Company’s books.
- Co-administer the company’s equity including, reviewing, uploading and maintaining LTI grants and participants' profiles, preparing internal reports on the equity program, and providing assurance support. Support the company's debt program including, covenant compliance and reporting, reviewing interest and fees notices for accuracy, reconciliation of interest expense, timely settlement of debt service obligations and recording transactions in the books, and decision-support for pricing decisions.
- Execute bank transactions – ACH, wires and transfers, act as internal subject-matter expert for teams requiring guidance on bank transactions and support vendor profile set-up and updates. Complete GL reviews and analysis as part of the month-end process and provide support for interim and year-end audits. Approve funding requirements in the absence of the Treasurer.
Your Key Strengths:
- Bachelor's degree or post graduate qualification in finance, accounting or treasury. CTP, CPA or similar designation in Finance is an advantage.
- 2+ years relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or relevant tools
- Strong Interpersonal & Communication skills
- Demonstrates integrity and discretion
- Strong treasury working knowledge including cash, foreign currency and debt management.
- High degree of flexibility and creativity required to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Be able to work both independently, with very good organizational skills
- Attention to detail
