• Assign Customs-Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS/HS) & Export Control (ECCN) classifications of Agilent products for WW countries with special focus on biotech related product lines. Maintain documentation to support the ECCN/ HTS classification assigned.
• Involvement in cross functional Projects.
• Identify duty reduction opportunities.
• Lead HTS & ECCN Review Projects.
• Lead M & A From Classification (HTS/ECCN) perspective.
• Handling Customs Queries and provide write for product classification assistance to support regional trade compliance team.
• Act as advisor for compliance and trade cost efficiencies.
• Provide training to business on Classification processes and overall trade compliance.
• Conduct periodic document reviews for accuracy of trade/classification data.
• Stay current with evolving trade regulations, tariffs, and sanctions to ensure all import and export trade compliance activities comply with applicable laws and regulations. Assess impact on Agilent and Implement such regulatory changes.
• Lead critical projects like Year End Roll overs (HTS/ECCN), bulk Classification changes etc.
• Support government audits & involve in customs related matters.
• Continuous focus on process improvements and attending to various customer requests in reference to compliance activities.
• Solve a broad range of Classification related problems of varying scope & complexity.
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline. Relevant coursework in international trade, logistics, or equivalent experience in Trade Compliance.
6-8 years of relevant experience for entry to this level.
