OverviewThe role focuses on testing/performance maintenance of applications written in C/C++, Java, Bash, Python, Perl in a Linux and Windows operating systems in both on-prem and cloud environments supporting TNS business. The candidate participates in SDLC/STLC/Troubleshooting with an emphasis on automation, benchmarks, security, performance testing, DevOps, and validation for systems such as NAC, TNIP, TNSPay Protect, Payments Message Conversion, and SIG.ResponsibilitiesA Day In the Life
- Perform software testing for applications written in C/C++, Java, Bash/Perl/Python
- Implement or maintain test automation and performance testing
- Troubleshoot and provide production support
- Work in a Scrum-like environment
- Learn insights of existing payment applications
- Participate in release/build management and CI/CD
- Maintain lifecycle of in‑house test tools
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years software testing experience ; 3+ years test automation on Linux
- Strong scripting (Bash/Perl/Python), REST/JSON familiarity
- Must have strong API and backend testing experience, network level testing and relevant test tool setup and usage experience
- Ability to identify edge cases and analyze results
- Familiar with SDLC/STLC, Agile, Git, DevOps pipelines
- Understanding of HEX-level data manipulation
- Strong problem-solving skills, soft skills, independence, quick learner , team player
- Commitment, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines is a must
- Passion for testing, breaking, duplicating and troubleshooting
Preferred
- Deep knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including scoping, planning, conception, design, implementation, deployment and maintenance.
- Experience with ISO8583 payment protocols
- Security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, vulnerability detection)
- Benchmark, volume, performance, smoke, white-box, integration testing
- UI and backend integration testing and automation experience
- DB integration testing and automation experience
Other Considerations
- Payment Industry knowledge and PCI standards
- Familiarity with payment lifecycle concepts (Authorization, Settlement)
