Job Description
Summary: This position provides product recommendations and technical configurations for the Sphera ORM product, technical expertise for integrations, developing of sound technical solutions, managing enhancement requirements and escalations, and designing of solutions to meet simple and complex business requirements. This is a mid-level role, suitable for candidates with at least 3+ years of relevant working experience.
The Technical Implementation Consultant will be responsible for owning the overall technical design of assigned projects as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on client business needs. This role will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system and technical requirements. The Technical Implementation Consultant will work with internal and external cross-disciplinary teams to capture and document requirements and implement solutions that address these requirements in the best way possible.
General Job Duties:
- Develop/code technology solutions for clients using a variety of technologies
- Participate and feed into technical discussions, requirements gathering and white boarding.
- Conduct implementation pilots and help customer envision final solution.
- Deal effectively and professionally with requests that have the potential to disrupt schedule whilst keeping all parties informed and appraised of impact.
- Periodically, with the wider services team, review documentation and tools to keep them up to date with product evolution and continuously improve processes.
- Produce and manage technical client-facing documentation.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Equivalent professional experience considered.
Required Experience:
- Database experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle required.
- 3+ yrs. of experience delivering commercial projects via service organizations.
- Programming or scripting experience in any language (ideally Java / Groovy)
- Extensive troubleshooting experience (e.g. application server logfiles, console logs, debugging)
- Experience of working on data migration and data loading activities
- Demonstrate the ability to prepare / maintain a variety of project documents to a high standard
Other skills:
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (up to 20% possible)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including writing, editing, and presentation
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience of developing prints, reports, and dashboards
- Experience of deployments both on prem and cloud
- Experience of working in agile implementation models
- Experience of VM Management, setting up, resetting, debugging
- Experience working with REST and SOAP webservices
- Experience of working with Middleware and on System Integration Projects
- Experience of working with DevOps tools, e.g., Jenkins, Azure Pipelines
- Familiarity with any app server such as Wildfly or WebLogic.
- Experience of working with bug tracking systems (JIRA, Azure Devops etc)
- Experience of working with source control systems (GIT, SVN etc.)
