Mission

Becoming a member of the GTS team in The United States. This group provides phone support to field service engineers and help support high level problems both remotely and onsite. They are also involved in new product support and field service engineer training.

The Global Technical Support Engineer provides technical support to address field problems, working closely with colleagues from Customer Service, GTS in Europe and Brno, and Application. They handle stress well, prioritize customer satisfaction, and succeed through dedication, passion, and technical expertise.

The Position

Specific work associated with this opportunity include:

  • Engage with service field service to support customers.
  • Provide technical support up to system-level of TEM products. This means phone and email support as well as traveling to customer sites and repair down tools that are under critical issue. This also includes training the onsite engineers while doing repairs.
  • Coordinate the progress of agreed schedules and action items.
  • Participates in improvement projects for products and processes.
  • Develop close relation with GTS engineers in Brno and the Netherlands.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Minium education is a Bachelor or University degree in technical direction, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
  • Highly hands-on technical problem-solving.
  • Experience in high-tech industry environment in TEM service.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience with analytical equipment (electronics, software, physics, mechanics) such as Electron Microscopes, Wafer steppers, Medical Equipment (e.g. MRI-scan) or tech skills that show the right expertise.
  • Experience with demanding customers and understanding customer relations and intimacy.
  • Self-starter who is also highly productive when working on their own.

- Traveling (25% - 30% of working time).

  • Proficient in English (verbal and in writing); other language skills are an asset.
  • Good skills in persuading, inspiring, developing and motivating are required to collaborate with other people.
