Job Description
Motorola Solutions is seeking an accomplished Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team under the direction of the Director of Strategic Projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, along with extensive experience, credentials, and education in software program management. In this key role, you will oversee the design, development, and technical implementation of Motorola Solutions software products and services across various projects with clearly defined beginnings and endpoints.
As the Senior Technical Program Manager, you will coordinate cross-functional technical teams to deliver new solutions or upgrade existing software. You will monitor the program from initiation through delivery, engaging with external customers and field-based employees to address technical matters. Your responsibilities will also include assigning and monitoring the work of Solutions Architects and System Technologists, providing them with technical support and guidance.
In this capacity, you will be responsible for the final design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring the approval and submission of all necessary documentation. You’ll lead project resources in the design, development, installation, configuration, and testing of Motorola’s software and interfaced systems. Additionally, you will apply software engineering principles to troubleshoot and solve any issues during the deployment process.
This role encompasses overseeing technical delivery from inception to completion, including tracking and evaluating project performance. Collaborating closely with the Project Director, you will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also participate in project review and status meetings, communicate project progress, and utilize effective project management methodologies to drive maximum efficiency.
What we are looking for:

Understanding of API technologies, Software Architecture and Design, and System and Cloud Deployment

Strong understanding and practical hands-on experience in System Integration and Deployment

Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile environment to deliver customer value quickly

Make technical decisions on project scope based on technical / business tradeoffs and risk mitigation

Familiarity with Software deployment methodologies and Quality Processes

Passion for delivering End-to-End solutions to customers with quality

Ability to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, technologists, business analysts, and application specialists and report progress or risks to senior management

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements:

Preferred Professional Engineer (P.E.) Certification

Preferred Project Management Qualifications such as PMP

Preferred 5+ years in a technical position overseeing software delivery

Must have 6+ years of project management experience managing complex deployments and/or software application deployments.

Must be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.

Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customers
Please note that this position may involve working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and will require passing a stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions’ customers.
Note: This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US. However, due to travel and the working schedule, it is extremely preferred that candidates reside in the Western United States (California preferred).
Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000 per year.

Basic Requirements
