The Role
Job Description SummaryResponsible for operating in accordance with domain leaders, as the Interax and Shop Planning Viewer (SSPV) product manager, and DCP (Data Center Processing), for the successful oversight and maintenance of these products throughout their lifecycle. You will have the responsibility to clearly develop and communicate a strategic direction and descriptive requirements in preparation for separation, as well as partner with various teams to ensure the successful transition of these applications to GCCH, including delivery of documentation, compliance, and necessary services to enable successful application usage in the future state environment. Once transitioned, you will have responsibility for strategic oversite, any approved feature or functionality delivery, documentation, communication, minimizing defects, and reducing technical debt where possible. Expected minimum experience of 6 years demonstrated competency with Interax and SSPV.

Job Description

Minimum Requirements

In this role, you will: 

  • Be accountable for end-to-end lifecycle of planning ecosystems supporting GE Aerospace component manufacturing. These applications include highly customized instances of Interax and SSPV, DCP, as well their associated interfaces. 

  • Become a subject matter expert of the technology stack and application blueprint. 

  • Maintain operational stability, address tech debt, and minimize defects to enable operational stability for legacy data products. 

  • Partner with the business, cyber and technical teams to support & maintain compliance and security related strategies such as CMMC, EVM, SOX, and DFARS. 

  • Must be a subject matter expert on a complex landscape of products and integrations to analyze and plan for the impact of outages, infrastructure and ecosystem changes, and business process changes. 

  • Ensure successful, end-to-end delivery of product or environment changes supporting separation and compliance projects such as Data Center Exit, Network, Identity, and CMMC, through ongoing client engagement, partnering with technical teams internal and external to the initiative, and coordinating all required activities and milestones. 

  • Interact with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback. Build and maintain relationships across functional stakeholders understand their data needs, requirements, and solutions to improve and optimize existing business processes. 

  • Define, implement, and test application configuration to meet business needs. 

  • Write / update test scripts, cut over plans, and deployment documentation. 

  • Execute functional test, system integration test, and support user acceptance test (UAT). 

  • Interact with software vendors and internal developers to resolve defects or request enhancements. 

  • Present operational status to leadership and business stakeholders. 

  • Advocate on behalf of users, business stakeholders, and customers to ensure their needs and impacts are considered in centrally led digital technology program plans and changes. 

  • Go to Gemba, the component manufacturing shop floor, to understand the product, processes, and personas interacting with software products where the work is done. 

  • Prioritize backlog of work to support operational stability, cybersecurity, separation, and business outcomes with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, in that order, every day.

  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements, drives change initiatives, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances competing priorities and executes accordingly.

  • Project management experience with video projects within GE Aerospace.

  • Architectural knowledge about networking and network infrastructure in legacy GE and GE Aerospace.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 3 years of professional experience, or Associates degree with minimum of 6 years of professional experience, or High School Diploma with minimum of 8 years of professional experience.

  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.

  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles

  •  5 years’ experience with Oracle forms creation and updates.
