The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced professional driven by technical expertise and business acumen to bring value to laboratorians and patients in Core Lab reagents. The Sr. Technical Product Manager is an informal leader among their peers, responsible for providing widespread technical expertise, customer support, and coaching and mentoring to those around them. The candidate should have a deep understanding of both Immunoassay and Clinical Chemistry solutions, as well as the complexities of working in industry, with a focus on market insights, business acumen, and executive-level written and verbal communication. Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills are crucial, as this role collaborates with numerous business partners across the organization.

This is a high-visibility role designed for an expert who excels at technical aptitude, customer support, and critical thinking. In a pivotal time within Core Lab where Roche’s menu is expanding and customer needs are increasing, this role is instrumental in bridging the gap between commercial teams and customers and driving expanded reagent growth.

Job Facts:

  • The Sr. Technical Product Manager, Core Lab Reagents, reports to the Group Marketing Manager and serves as a member and informal leader of the Reagents team, who are responsible for the lifecycle management of all Core Lab reagents and pipeline, excluding Mass Spec.

  • Serves as the overarching technical expert for Core Lab Reagents, providing the technical “why” that wins RFPs and drives customer success.

  • Acts as a mentor and coach to the Reagents team and other Product Managers, elevating the technical aptitude of peers and shaping the future of product management at Roche.

  • Successfully  partners with a large stakeholder network, including Marketing, Sales, Customer Insights, Finance, Pricing, MSA, RSN, Customer Service, Regulatory, Supply and Demand Planning, Global, and others.

  • Moves seamlessly between deep-dive technical discussions to executive presentations within the lab and across the Roche network and leadership teams.

  • Transforms market trends and competitive intelligence into actionable insights for all team members

  • May be responsible for lifecycle ownership of critical reagent portfolios, dependent upon technical aptitude and business need.

Who You Are:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Marketing / Business-related fields

  • You hold 5 years of product management, marketing, business, or equivalent workwork experience in the healthcare industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Core Lab, with expert-level knowledge of both Immunoassay and Clinical Chemistry solutions.

  • Industry experience working in a commercial function, preferably Marketing, Sales, or Support.

  • Proven ability to make data-driven decisions through financial analysis, voice of customer insights, and business analytics.

  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional leadership skills; able to influence across a wider stakeholder network to ensure business needs are met/exceeded

  • Ability to teach and mentor others informally, with an aptitude for coaching those around them

  • Excellent executive-level written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Google suite tools

  • Ability to travel in the continental US or globally as dictated by business need

Location:

  • This position is based onsite in our Indianapolis campus

  • No relocation benefits are provided for this role

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $129,500 - $240,500.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
