What You'll Do:
- Develop technical content that spans every aspect of SnapLogic's data integration platform to enrich users’ information experience
- Deliverables include micro content, contextual help, help articles, API documentation, how-to tutorials, release notes, and short videos
- Write and edit in-product content across applications and workflows that help feature discovery and user education
- Leverage Generative AI and tools across the DDLC to improve and accelerate deliverables. Develop content strategies that allow content to scale with new feature content across communication channels
- Transform complex technical jargon into conversational, easy-to-understand language
- Work on multiple projects at a time, using negotiation to manage time and expectations appropriately
- Conduct content audit, usability, and gap analysis to significantly enhance existing content
- Actively collaborate with UX designers, UI engineers, back-end developers, QA, and product managers
- Peer review content that is developed by the documentation team
- Take the initiative to own various aspects of the documentation process, with the goal of improving and optimizing the current systems
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in technical communication, engineering, journalism, or comparable work experience
- Five plus years of experience as a technical writer, preferably in data integration or a similar software domain. Adept at quickly grasping new technical concepts and technologies
- Knowledge of DITA, Oxygen Author, GitHub, GenAI, Confluence, Figma, Jira, Snagit, XML, REST API, HTML, and CSS
- Familiar with the development process in conjunction with the information evolution process
- Ability to work in a nimble, test and learn, iterative environment
- Coachable team player who can receive and provide constructive feedback
- Ability to make decisions based on analysis and data
- Strong organizational skills. A self-starter who can manage projects in a fast-paced environment and remain focused amidst frequently changing requirements
- Empathetic listening and bidirectional communication skills, demonstrated in effective interactions with users, peers, team members, and management
- Highly comfortable with ambiguity and fast-evolving products
- Truly believes that the devil lies in the details
