You will get to support United States Marine Corps (USMC) by providing technical guidance as well as direct architectural contribution by designing, engineering, and integrating advanced voice, data, and video solutions that integrate with the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN). You will develop and implement resilient, high‑performance network architectures leveraging technologies such as Passive Optical Networks (PON), Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), MPLS, and Cisco-based platforms including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting voice, data, and video services with direct integration into MCEN and DISN transport environments
  • Designing solutions utilizing PON, DWDM transport systems, MPLS routing, and enterprise Cisco technologies
  • Making design/architecture recommendations for Cisco Unified Communications Manager and related collaboration services
  • Developing technical designs aligned with USMC, DISA, and DoW network architecture standards, security requirements, and Zero Trust objectives
  • Coordinating across USMC regional commands, PAE Mission Systems, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of modernized BAN capabilities
  • Producing engineering documentation, configuration standards, and technical policy recommendations for enterprise modernization initiatives

Requirements
  • Experience performing design, architecture, testing, implementing and fielding USMC data and telecommunication infrastructure to include Dense Wave Multiplexing, Multiprotocol Label Switching, Passive Optical Networks with specific using Cisco BAN and WAN technologies
  • Ability to develop strategic approaches to plan and execute design & configuration problem solving efforts for unique and corner-case problem sets in Department of War Base Area Networks and Wide Area Networks
  • Ability to analyze proposed technology insertions and tech refresh compatibility with other networked systems and present Courses of Action articulating trade off benefits
  • Maintain a current Security+ or similar certification for DoW 8140 compliance
