We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Integration Engineer to support the administration, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of complex mission-critical IT systems. This position will work across Linux and Windows environments and provide technical leadership for software integration, system testing, troubleshooting, and field deployments.
Responsibilities
- Perform system administration, maintenance, upgrades, installation, testing, integration, and configuration
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows operating systems and applications
- Support hardware and software builds, staging, testing, and integration environments
- Perform system installation, equipment racking/stacking, testing, and software integration at lab and field sites
- Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting and resolution for complex system failures and performance issues
- Create and maintain system software baselines and configuration files for deployments and upgrades
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for installation, sustainment, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Monitor system performance and security and recommend architecture improvements
- Serve as technical lead for software integration and testing efforts
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to less experienced engineers
- Ensure quality assurance throughout software integration and testing activities
Required Qualifications
- Must be fully cleared with a recent MD polygraph
- Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
- Twelve (12) years of experience as a Software Integrator, Tester, System Administrator, or Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope and complexity
- Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Linux and Windows environments
- Experience with software and systems integration, testing, deployment, and configuration
- Experience providing Tier 3 technical support and resolving complex system issues
- Experience supporting hardware/software builds, staging, and field installations
- Ability to lead software integration and testing activities
- Strong technical documentation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
- A Master’s degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to ten (10) years
- Four (4) additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree
