Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Training & Certification (40%)
- Develop and deliver structured training programs for new hires and existing DL on:
- Gas line assembly (UHP standards, torque control, fittings integrity)
- Leak testing (helium leak test methods, acceptance criteria)
- Functional testing (system validation, troubleshooting)
- Final packing and handling requirements
- Establish certification criteria and qualification matrix for each process step
- Conduct hands-on training, OJT, and skill validation assessments
- Ensure all training materials (WI, SOP, visual aids) are current and aligned with engineering requirements
Skill Management & Performance Tracking (25%)
- Monitor DL performance against PAR (Production Achievement Rate), quality KPIs, and cycle time targets
- Maintain training records and skill matrix for all operators
- Identify skill gaps and implement targeted retraining or upskilling programs
- Work closely with production supervisors to align workforce capability with production demands
Production Support & Quality Assurance (20%)
- Support production floor to ensure operators follow correct process and workmanship standards
- Audit adherence to critical processes such as:
- Cleanliness and UHP handling
- Leak test procedures
- Functional validation steps
- Drive first-pass yield (FPY) improvement through training interventions
- Assist in troubleshooting quality issues related to operator skill gaps
Continuous Improvement (10%)
- Initiate Continuous Improvement Programs (CIP) to enhance training effectiveness and reduce ramp time
- Improve training methods (e.g., modular training, certification tiers, digital tools)
- Support lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives in training areas
Stakeholder Collaboration (5%)
- Work with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure training aligns with process updates, ECNs, and customer requirements
- Support audits (internal/external/customer) related to operator competency and certification
Educational and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Training methodologies is an added advantage
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing/semiconductor environment
- Strong experience in:
- UHP Gas Box assembly or similar precision assembly processes
- Leak testing and functional testing
- Prior experience in training, coaching, or workforce development preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleanroom practices and quality standards
