We are actively seeking a Sr. Support Engineer, SAP. This role is based in Malaysia.
Position Summary
The role of Sr. Support Engineer, SAP, to provide exceptional remote-based support for mission-critical SAP applications as part of our global customer support team. The position has the responsibility for researching, troubleshooting, and supporting of multiple SAP modules for our global clients who use both 4.x and ECC environments. The role of the Support Engineer, SAP requires the expertise and skills to diagnose serious issues; then develop, test, package and deliver fixes for such issues in complex, integrated and highly configured environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Experience as a specialist in SAP MM/SD/PP/QM, procure to pay process design, LE, Variant configuration, EDI, development, configuration, implementation, and post go live.
Experience in Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Production stockroom and other related functions and Quality departments.
Connect with stakeholders, business division leaders and business users to gain a full understanding of the problems they are looking to solve.
A minimum of 2 End to End Implementations.
Ask the right questions to business division leaders from Supply chain and production to begin the discovery process.
Analyze and Architect scalable, flexible solutions that are extensible to future business needs using SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA.
Evaluate and articulate solution value to all levels of the organization.
Create innovative and practical designs that account for the end-to-end technical solution of a system, in line with the business strategy and objectives and within the context of available technology environment.
Communicate the designs, intended architecture, and work closely with Developers and Analysts and lead with Planning, testing, deployment until final delivery of the solution to the stake holder.
Perform hands-on solution design, solution architectures, architecture roadmaps, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and development tasks.
Contribute to the development of governance structures, methodologies, and compliance activities.
The best candidates will have extensive knowledge of multiple SAP modules across SAP releases (4.x & ECC)/S4 Hana including proficiency with SAP product module/suite business processes, navigation mechanics, configuration requirements, integration with other modules and knowledge of underlying technology.
Experience
10+ years relevant SAP experience particularly with MM/SD/PP/QM Modules;
10+ years direct support of application end-users in a Corporate environment;
Qualifications and Skills
A track record of successful roles in SAP implementations, roll-outs or application support;
Relevant working knowledge and understanding of supporting business processes;
Analytical, logical problem resolution skills;
SAP certification(s) preferred;
Knowledge of maintenance/patching mechanics and SAP architecture;
Demonstrable history solving complex problems across multiple modules.
Superb trouble-shooting skills and tenacity in problem solving
Passionate focus on customer support and the ability to build long term, successful working relationships with Clients
Strong knowledge of key application functionality, tables and relationships
Deep knowledge of SAP customization/extension methodologies
Excellent development skills using SAP toolset
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills – verbal & written
Attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly
Extreme focus on Client satisfaction
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work calmly and professionally in high pressure situations
The ability to work remotely from a home based office in a virtual environment
8+ years relevant SAP experience particularly with PP/QM Modules experience
Good to have Food Processing Industry experience
A track record of successful roles in several SAP implementation or upgrade projects
Analytical, logical problem resolution skills
SAP certification(s) preferred
Expertise with SAP 4.x and ECC/S4 Hana, including full life-cycle implementation experience, configuration and administration of the application
Knowledge of maintenance/patching mechanics and SAP architecture
Demonstrable history solving complex problems across multiple modules
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of any Country Specific Solutions would be an advantage.
A consulting background, while not mandatory, would be useful.
Experience with localizations and global implementations would be an advantage.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
