This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As a Senior Supply Chain Manager, you own the material program strategy and material program plan for assigned commodities and programs. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports. You establish, qualify, and develop the supply base for electronics, machining, raw materials, and capital equipment, and you partner with the Programs, engineering, procurement, and finance to keep hardware development and deliveries on cost and on schedule. Travel up to 25 percent is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies to establish, qualify, and develop the supply base for assigned commodities.
  • Manage suppliers of electronics, machining, raw materials, and capital equipment supporting spaceflight hardware development.
  • Create Statements of Work, develop negotiation approaches, and negotiate terms and conditions for hardware contracts.
  • Own material management outcomes including schedule, cost, and Material Estimate at Completion.
  • Partner with design engineering and manufacturing engineering to define supplier technical and producibility requirements.
  • Manage program financials including Earned Value Management System reporting, budgets, targets, and working capital.
  • Monitor supplier performance using Line of Balance, material status, and supply chain metrics.
  • Communicate customer flow through requirements to suppliers and verify compliance with FAR, DFARS, and ITAR. Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field with eight years of experience.
  • Experience developing supply chain strategies to establish, qualify, and develop high volume supply bases.
  • Experience sourcing electronics, machining, raw materials, and capital equipment from external suppliers.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and terms and conditions with suppliers for complex hardware.
  • Experience with procurement and planning, MRP or ERP transactions, and bill of materials structures. Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Project Management Professional certification or an equivalent program management certification.
  • Experience with defense acquisition and with IFS or Costpoint enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Experience with material estimating, Basis of Estimate creation, and Earned Value Management System reporting.
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools to analyze supplier performance, cost, and spend data.
  • Experience collaborating with design engineering and manufacturing engineering on supplier technical and producibility requirements.

Base Pay Range for:

CO applicants is $123,611.00 - $173,054.70

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
