The Industrial Engineer, Emerging plays a strategic role in advancing next-generation operational capabilities across the end-to-end Supply Chain. This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating, piloting, and scaling high-impact emerging technologies that materially improve system-level performance, decision quality, and resilience across complex, multi-node supply chain networks.
This role requires deep expertise at the intersection of industrial engineering, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), Generative AI, and agent-based technologies, combined with the ability to translate ground breaking innovations into scalable, production-grade solutions. The Industrial Engineer partners closely with business leaders, process owners, IT, data science, and customers from multiple functions to frame high-value problems, assess solution alternatives, and drive enterprise-wide adoption of advanced technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior business and supply chain customers to identify operational challenges across demand planning, supply planning, manufacturing interfaces, and end-to-end supply chain performance.
- Translate business requirements into structured analytical and optimization problems, including definition of objectives, constraints, trade-offs, and quantitative success metrics.
- Design, develop, and apply advanced analytical, optimization, and simulation models to improve performance of complex, multi-node supply chain systems.
- Apply artificial intelligence, machine learning, and statistical techniques to generate predictive and prescriptive insights supporting operational and strategic decisions.
- Develop and evaluate Generative AI and agent-based decision systems to support workflow orchestration and decision execution.
- Apply high-fidelity modeling methods, including scenario analysis, simulation, and stochastic optimization, to assess system behavior and risk under uncertainty.
- Integrate analytical and AI solutions into enterprise supply chain workflows in collaboration with IT, architecture, data governance, and security teams.
- Validate models and solutions through testing, benchmarking, and performance measurement, and support deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or equivalent.
- Supply chain domain expertise combined with advanced analytics, optimization, AI/ML, and simulation to drive intelligent decision-making.
- Develop and scale GenAI- and agent-based solutions for autonomous, secure, and adoptable enterprise workflows, with strong multi-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience applying advanced analytics, optimization, simulation, and quantitative modeling techniques to solve complex supply chain or operations problems.
- Working knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical analysis, or predictive and prescriptive modeling applied to decision-support systems.
- Exposure to Generative AI concepts or agent-based systems used for analytical support, workflow orchestration, or decision assistance.
- Experience integrating analytical or AI-based solutions into enterprise environments, including collaboration with IT, data, architecture, or security teams.
- Ability to communicate analytical results to business customers and support pilot initiatives, adoption, and continuous improvement efforts.
