Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that our suppliers meet our quality and delivery standards. This includes leading APQP and PPAP projects, as well as acting as the voice of the supplier in the company.

 

• Manage performance for assigned suppliers with regular metrics review.

• Conduct supplier performance reviews and foster improvement of suppliers' performance.

• Deploy supplier development projects with the support of SQ&D

• Support of operational issues with impacted GBE (according to escalation process)

• Develop and maintain supplier quality and delivery performance metrics.

• Manage All types of claims and ensure timely resolution.

• Conduct supplier audits and drive continuous improvement.

• Lead Conduct supplier audits and drive continuous improvement.

• Develop and maintain supplier scorecards.

• Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams to ensure supplier quality and delivery performance.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards and regulations.

• Lead APQP and drives projects to final phase.

• Validates ODT and PPAP with suppliers including change management in serial conditions.

• Ensures all issues during development and serial life are being captured via Lessons Learned

• Represents Voice of the Supplier

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related 
  • 3+ years in similar role
  • Advanced level of English
  • Technical background in automotive, Knowledge in Quality system & Process Auditing, preferably based on VDA 6.3 certified auditor.
  • Manufacturing plant and Production process experience
  • Knowledge of Quality tools & practices such as AIAG - APQP, PPAP, D&PFMEA, DOE, ISO, IATF-16949…
  • Ability to understand drawings and technical specifications.
  • Six Sigma experience – Lean Expert or Black Belt is a plus.

Skills Required
