A Day in the LifeProgram Manager to manage Pan MDT Escalations

As the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Program Manager, you will be the Sourcing liaison with Site Operations, Planning, Quality, and Finance organizations to resolve supply-related issues.

As the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Program Manager, you will manage Supply Continuity projects at the Pan MDT level to enhance operational efficiency, optimize inventory, and mitigate supply risks by leveraging DMAIC methodologies and the Medtronic Performance System (MPS). You will be pivotal in driving margin expansion and ensuring supply chain stability. 

As the Sr. Strategic Sourcing Program Manager, you will:

  • Manage Pan MDT supply continuity mitigation projects as directed by the Sr. Director of Operations Sourcing E&E lead.   

  • Partner in strategic planning and run the business programs to achieve team goals.

  • Lead/Co-lead Pan MDT Operations Sourcing programs to boost supplier delivery performance, measured by Supplier On Time in Full metrics.

  • Partner in supplier production capacity reviews, identification of potential risks, and driving mitigation strategies to ensure supply continuity at a Pan MDT level.

  • Participate in Portfolio Component Assessments and risk reduction projects with suppliers at the Pan MDT level.

  • Enhance escalation and Tier Management processes to be in line with MPS guidelines.

  • Drive improvements in Operations Sourcing standard work, around functional excellence, and zero-loss mindsets.

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, operations scheduling, supply network planning, supplier quality engineering, manufacturing, finance, operations quality, category management, and other internal stakeholders.

Must-Have: Minimum Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant supply chain experience is required, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant supply chain experience is required.

  • Proven project management experience

Nice to Have

  • Expert understanding and experience with integrated manufacturing software systems

  • Working knowledge of Demand Flow & Lean Manufacturing

  • Experience in leading and influencing negotiations, project management, troubleshooting, problem-solving analysis, strategic thinking, and collaborative team building.

  • Exposure to supply chain, planning, purchasing, materials, and inventory control environment

  • PMP certification

  • Solid computer skills: i.e., Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project. Advanced Excel knowledge (vlookup, pivot tables, formulas, macros)

  • Proven communication, leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills

  • Influencing skills to achieve results across a matrixed and virtual organization

  • Experience in the medical device industry with knowledge of applicable FDA/GMP and International medical device regulations and standards.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$138,400.00 - $207,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

 

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to all regular employees: Incentive plans, 401(k) plan plus employer contribution and match, Short-term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non-qualified Retirement Plan Supplement (subject to IRS earning minimums), and Capital Accumulation Plan (available to Vice Presidents and above, or subject to IRS earning minimums).

 

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
