The GE Gas Power business has a globally distributed supply chain and is in the midst of a significant transformation of the supply chain processes with the key objective of improving on time delivery, reducing inventory and optimizing capacity.
The Sr. Staff Technical Product Manager – Supply Chain Planning will design and enable IT solutions that support demand management, constrained capacity planning and inventory optimization in close partnership with the Process Excellence team to co-design target-state processes and translate them into system capabilities and ensure tight alignment between process KPIs and system behaviour.
This role acts as a critical bridge between process design and technology execution, ensuring that business process standards are effectively translated into scalable, high-performing system solutions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Understand supply chain processes related to new make and services’ fulfilment and conceptualize solutions with the goal of improving on time delivery, inventory turns and capacity utilization.
- Drive proof of concept sessions on material and capacity planning in the Oracle Cloud Supply Planning and other planning applicatyions, influence senior leadership on adopting leading material management practices and generate buy in on the future process model.
- Plan, lead and run solution design workshops to assess business, strategic and operational requirements and shape the solution using Oracle and other planning technologies.
- Leading the material demand alignment process as an input to the broader Sales Operations and Planning (S&OP) process.
- Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex supply chain scenarios and takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations on material planning and forecasting methodologies.
- Provide inputs on conceptualizing the vision and generate consensus on the material planning roadmap for a globally distributed supply chain network.
- Provide strong functional & technical expertise and support to the Oracle Cloud (SaaS + PaaS) implementation teams in addressing complex SCM business requirements.
- Collaborate with the implementation partner and business leads and support global design, documentation, configuration review, testing and go live, functional troubleshooting, setup changes, queries and data analysis.
- Partner with technology, ERP, product management and commercial IT leadership to strategize their architecture that meets supply planning and analytical requirements.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in planning and integration tools and recommend their incorporation into the overall strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
- Solid experience in supply chain planning within a broader professional background.
- Understanding of Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning processes and experience in Material Management processes.
- Planning releases, coordinating with cross functional IT teams to align with project timelines, ensuring data readiness.
- Extensive experience in ERP implementations, understanding of the supply chain data models in ERPs and standard APIs available for integration and data updates.
- Experience in driving Pull planning solutions for internal make and external buy parts and supporting the SI&OP process related to Pull.
Desired Characteristics:
- In-depth knowledge of business processes related to material and capacity planning and other inventory planning methods such as min max, reorder point planning.
- Good knowledge of key integrations with SAP and Oracle EBS supply chain modules.
- Ability to challenge status quo and facilitate change through business and IT stakeholders.

- Flexibility to travel when needed (only occasional travels considered < 15%)
