Job Description

  • Work with a cutting-edge DDR5/DDR6 product design team to simulate, analyze, and improve signal integrity and power integrity performance at the chip, package, and board levels.
  • Align SI/PI design targets with cross-functional teams and support trade-off decisions.
  • Support package, I/O buffer, and die/package PDN design.
  • Review SI/PI performance for die and package designs.
  • Create simulation benches for pre-layout and post-layout signal integrity and power integrity simulations.
  • Extract S-parameter, RLC, and transmission line models based on specific accuracy, bandwidth, and simulation runtime requirements.
  • Perform lab measurements to verify SI/PI performance and support troubleshooting/debug activities.

Qualifications

  • Master or PHD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in signal integrity.
  • Strong knowledge of transmission line theory and electromagnetic field theory, including reflection, crosstalk, simultaneous switching noise, and power noise.
  • Experience in signal integrity simulation and analysis for DDR or other multi-drop/multi-loading systems is required.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor package and circuit design.
  • Good understanding of I/O buffer architecture and I/O analog design is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of chip/package PDN design.
  • Experience with 2D/2.5D/3D model extraction tools, HFSS, and Cadence/Sigrity tools is a plus.
  • Experience with circuit simulators such as ADS, HSPICE, or Spectre is a plus.
  • Experience with lab measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, TDR, and VNA is preferred.
