The Role
BeyondTrust is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead the evolution of Identity Security Insights product within our cloud offering. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and maintaining our cloud-based software using modern orchestration technologies. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and extensible solutions that power our SaaS offerings. This position presents an opportunity to solve complex identity challenges at scale, contributing to the foundation of a modern identity security platform.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and resilient full-stack platform components, services, and orchestration.
- Deliver outstanding user experience for complex cloud-based enterprise applications.
- Lead the design of systems and provide technical oversight for projects with increasing complexity.
- Review functional and technical requirements to identify gaps and limitations, propose simplifications, and communicate ideas effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Mentor and coach engineers, promoting best practices in security, operation excellence and cloud-native development.
- Drive modernization efforts, balancing custom authentication needs with strategic integrations to improve security and developer experience.
- Contribute to platform-wide initiatives, collaborating with teams across BeyondTrust to align strategies with business goals.
What You’ll Bring
- Expertise in architecting and developing micro-services and cloud-native solutions.
- Strong programming skills in SQL, with experience in API development and microservices architecture.
- Experience working with AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure public cloud providers.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery strategies and familiar with the Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Proven track record of leading cross-team projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity while driving the technical direction.
- Familiarity with modern observability and test strategies in cloud environment.
- Familiarity with data modeling, exploration and visualization.
