What You’ll Get To Do:
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership within the AVE Flight Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) team, focusing on the development of mission-critical software products. They will architect complex systems and lead the design, development, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring compatibility through the development and integration of board support packages and driver implementations. Expertise in real-time operating systems is essential, including configuring kernel parameters, managing task scheduling, and implementing inter-process communication. To include the development and facilitation of middleware integration, utilizing appropriate communication models. Responsibilities include integrating application, system, and device layers on real-time embedded systems, performing performance measurements, and optimizing throughput to enhance system performance, and mentoring software engineers. Candidate will also participate and advise in the formal testing approach for embedded software products, closed loop sim integration, and defect troubleshooting and resolution. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and support the Sentinel Program.

• 14 Years with Bachelor’s in relevant field of study, 12 Years with Masters, 10 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree.
-Must be a US Citizen, with an active DoD Secret clearance and be eligible for a SAP.
• +10 Years of SW Experience (Experience in C++, real-time embedded software, and object-oriented design. Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debugging, and maintenance.)
• +5 years of Systems Engineering & Test Experience with System architecture, design, requirements decomposition, hardware-in-the-loop, and simulation testing.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and team management skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including expertise in executive-level communication.
• Experience with engineering metrics, schedule planning, and technical scope execution, utilizing Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
• Demonstrated performance in aligning and technical driving execution.
• Proven track record of coaching and guiding team members to foster skill development and career growth.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in algorithmic application development and optimization.
· Experience in real-time embedded software development, including real-time multi-threaded architecture design, w/ knowledge of guidance and control systems.

Primary Level Salary Range: $162,500.00 - $243,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
