The Role
Job Description SummaryResponsible for managing information technology for a manufacturing plant, including all IT infrastructure & software applications necessary for shop operations. As the Site IT leader, you will be responsible for performance & availability of IT infrastructure & applications as well as partner with the business enabling process transformation.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a complex site (multiple part families) or specific business need (e.g., military) or large site (>500 employees).
  • Sets IT strategy & roadmap to drive digital improvements across the site.
  • Influences SPB employees and below on their decisions.
  • Performs as part of the Shop leadership team representing information technology.
  • Partners with the business  to participate in lean/ process improvement initiatives & enable business transformation leveraging digital tools.
  • Leads in the evaluation / implementation/ modification of various software solutions, including ERP, MES & Analytics solutions.
  • Works with central digital product teams to resolve systemic recurring issues or enhancement needs.
  • Directs a local team of digital resources.
  • Drives strategic digital initiatives.
  • Initiates and coordinates outsourced supplier efforts.
  • Applicable LPB1 level items.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 8 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 10 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT Support
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Determines the need for theoretical explanations vs. a business actionable answer in a presentation.
  • Consulting - Provides options and counsel. Drives dialogues that produce new perspectives and substantial innovation, enhancements and analysis of consequences. Consults on projects to fit systems or infrastructure, and project goals to their function, and vice versa. Provides risk-assessed options in relation to process enhancement and professional expertise. Consults on data or data infrastructure development projects and identifies when necessary to modify the solution.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
