We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our Retail Supply Chain Group (RSCG) Finance team. This role supports financial operations for our Canada and LATAM businesses as well as support key B2C accounting for our third-party marketplaces.
This key role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial data, supporting month-end close, preparing financial analysis, and occasionally compiling data from multiple systems and reports in Excel.
The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, comfortable with complex data, and committed to timely, accurate financial information.
Responsibilities- Lead accounting activities for Canada and LATAM operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Support accounting, reconciliation, and analysis for key B2C marketplace channels.
- Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations, income statement accounts, and accruals.
- Record journal entries and complete bank reconciliations as part of the monthly financial close process.
- Review cash-related transactions and reconciliations prepared by other team members.
- Support and enhance Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance processes and internal control documentation.
- Partner with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews, annual audits, and SOX testing activities.
- Participate in ERP and inventory management system enhancements, including testing and process validation.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reporting requested by management and business partners.
- Provide backup support across the accounting team and contribute to special projects as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide accounting guidance, technical support, and process direction to Finance team members.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration required; concentration in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility, preferably in a Senior Accountant or Lead Accountant role. Experience supporting international operations and multi-entity environments preferred.
- Experience with large-scale ERP systems required; Oracle experience preferred.

- General ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, close, reporting, variance analysis, and root-cause investigation
Advanced Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, reporting, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.

Communicates financial information clearly and builds effective relationships across departments.
Organized, self-motivated, deadline-focused, and able to resolve issues in a dynamic environment.

Work Conditions:
On-site. Choice of Hybrid (Owings Mills, MD) or Fully Remote.
Travel:
- 10%- Minimal travel required.
Pay & Benefits:
Compensation is determined by various factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
The salary range for this position is $75,200 to $94,000 annually. The posted range reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published range based on the factors mentioned above. This range may be modified in the future.
