We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on Sr. Software Quality Engineer - Automation SME who is passionate about quality engineering and test automation. This role will be an integral part of the Software Quality Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in automation frameworks, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to think critically, communicate clearly, and take sound decisions.
Additionally, this role requires leveraging modern AI/LLM tools to enhance productivity in automation, scripting, test design, and result analysis.
What You'll Do:
Framework Ownership & Standardization
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable test automation frameworks.
- Own the overall test automation coverage for all the engineering teams.
- Standardize the overall frameworks, tooling, coverage, and CI/CD benchmarks.
Automation Testing & CI/CD Integration
- Perform hands-on automation testing for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Collaborate closely with developers and DevOps teams to ensure CI/CD releases.
- Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
Quality Analysis & Mentorship
- Analyze test results, identify defects early, and ensure timely resolution.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices in quality engineering.
- Take ownership of quality-related decisions and drive improvements proactively.
What It Takes:
Technical
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Strong experience with one or more automation frameworks/tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, etc.).
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, etc.).
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA best practices.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Experience using LLMs for test generation, automation, debugging, failure analysis, and self-healing locators.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git.
