Job Description

The Senior Specialist, Supply Chain is responsible for analyzing, managing, and continuously improving the organization's distribution network to drive cost efficiency, service excellence, and operational effectiveness. This role partners closely with stakeholders across Retail, Finance, Procurement, Operations and external distribution partners to evaluate current distribution strategies, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that optimize the movement of products throughout the supply chain.

The position serves as a key business partner, combining analytical expertise, program management, and supply chain knowledge to develop insights and recommendations that improve distribution performance while supporting evolving business objectives. Given the complexity of the product portfolio, distribution channels, and fulfillment models, this role requires a highly analytical professional capable of managing multiple priorities and influencing stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distribution Network Optimization: Analyze distribution models, transportation flows, warehousing strategies, and fulfillment methods to identify cost reduction and service improvement opportunities; develop business cases and recommendations for network optimization, inventory positioning, and freight strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with stakeholders across multiple functions to document requirements, analyze data, facilitate discussions, and translate business needs into actionable supply chain solutions.
  • Distributor & Program Management: Serve as a primary contact for distributors and logistics partners; coordinate product launches, transitions, and supply chain initiatives; conduct business reviews and drive performance improvements.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate product pricing and attribute databases; develop reporting related to inventory performance, obsolescence, product launches, distribution costs, and service levels.
  • Performance Management: Track and report fill rates, on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory health, and cost-to-serve metrics; implement corrective action plans where needed.
  • Transportation & Logistics Management: Collaborate with freight carriers and logistics partners to evaluate transportation performance, identify alternative solutions, and reduce overall logistics costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution, procurement, operations, or related analytical roles.
  • Demonstrated experience independently leading cross-functional initiatives and driving measurable business improvements.
  • Experience managing external distributors, carriers, or third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong analytical, financial, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
  • This position requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with distribution network design, transportation optimization, and supply chain cost reduction initiatives.
  • Experience managing distributor performance programs, scorecards, and service level agreements.
  • Knowledge of transportation management, freight procurement, carrier management, and logistics operations.
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, CPIM, CLTD, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent credentials demonstrating expertise in supply chain, logistics, procurement, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience operating in complex, multi-product, multi-channel distribution environments.
