Overview
The Disputes Solutions team is looking for a Senior Specialist, Product Owner to help shape and deliver Mastercard's next-generation disputes platform. This individual will play a critical role in defining product requirements, driving feature development, and ensuring the platform can successfully support both global capabilities and regional market needs across Mastercard's worldwide network.
Based in Dublin, this role will be embedded within a cross-functional product and engineering organization, partnering closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, UX Designers, Data Scientists, Operations teams, and Regional stakeholders. The successful candidate will help evolve a scalable global platform while supporting the flexibility needed to address localized business requirements, regulatory considerations, customer expectations, and market-specific operational processes.
The ideal candidate is passionate about product development, thrives in agile environments, and enjoys translating complex customer, regional, and business needs into actionable product outcomes that can scale globally while supporting local market differentiation.
Role
In this role, you will:• Own requirements and roadmap execution for key areas of Mastercard's next-generation disputes platform.• Partner with global and regional stakeholders to gather, analyze, prioritize, and document customer, operational, regulatory, and business requirements.• Help define platform capabilities that balance global standardization with the flexibility needed to support localized market requirements.• Translate business needs into clearly defined epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.• Serve as Product Owner for an agile development pod, maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog to maximize customer and business value.• Collaborate closely with Engineering and Architecture teams to ensure solutions align with platform strategy, extensibility, scalability, and regional deployment needs.• Partner with Product Management leadership to support the evolution of a globally consistent disputes platform while enabling regional market customization where appropriate.• Help drive adoption of AI-powered capabilities by identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, automate workflows, enhance decision-making, and improve customer experiences.• Work with Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams to define intelligent automation, case management, and decision-support capabilities.• Facilitate discovery workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to uncover emerging market requirements and platform enhancement opportunities.• Leverage customer feedback, operational analytics, market insights, and regional input to inform prioritization and roadmap decisions.• Support release planning, testing, go-to-market readiness, and implementation activities across global and regional deployments.• Monitor product performance and customer outcomes across markets, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and increased adoption.• Act as a customer advocate and champion agile product development practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications• Experience building enterprise SaaS, platform, fintech, banking, or payments products.• Knowledge of disputes, chargebacks, fraud management, case management, or transaction lifecycle processes.• Experience supporting products deployed across multiple regions, markets, or countries.• Understanding of how regulatory, operational, and customer requirements vary across global markets.• Experience working with AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, or data-driven products.• Familiarity with modern product development practices including discovery-led development and outcome-based roadmaps.• Experience partnering closely with engineering organizations and technical teams.• Exposure to platform modernization, digital transformation, or large-scale migration initiatives.• Experience leveraging customer feedback and market insights to influence product direction.• Experience working within financial services, payments, or other highly regulated industries.
