Primary Purpose
The successful candidate will focus on driving quality with our leather goods and accessories Raw Material Suppliers (RMS) and Service Providers (SP). Providing technical support and working with the team, cross-functional and external partners in resolving hardware issues as they arise. Manage supplier's (local / In-region) performances in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Non-conformance and quality call outs from SP and collaborate with Tapestry on-site teams, and follow-through to avoid potential impacts on delivery.
- D rive continuous improvement and implement best practices and SOPs at hardware suppliers and service providers.
- Support on counter sourcing single-sourced items.
- Support development of new and existing finishes.
- Support ESG initiatives at the Raw Material Suppliers (RMS)
- RMS Compliance
- RMS Carbon Reduction
- Conduct RMS audits and quality inspections (due diligence) and follow CAP implementation
- Follow lab testing and test results when needed to support quality claims or issues and feedback to relevant teams and partners.
- Support on resolving quality issues at SPs
- Supports the development of new hardware by providing technical input and ideas
- Support and take on key projects
Education & Experience Requirements
- University graduated in engineering/technical background. Good written and spoken English.
- 5+ years in accessories production with technical experiences of mechanical/plating process; previous experience in hardware/plating industry is a plus.
- Knowledge in laboratory tests and industry standards is a plus.
- Proficient in AutoCad or Rhino or SolidWork; Knowledge of 3D modelling is preferable.
- Good skills on MS Office, Outlook, ecVision.
- Excellent communication skills, presentation and training skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Able to work independently as well as a good team player across functional and geographical teams.
