Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Develop, implement and continually improve safety programs to improve capability and capacity to drive HSE performance and compliance .
- Proactively drive safety initiatives, including leading indicator programs that foster a preventive approach to HSE performance.
- Oversee incident claims from inception through to closure, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions towards future prevention.
- Establish and enforce standardized environmental practices in alignment with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Track and report monthly HSE performance metrics, working with a range of stakeholders including service center managers to implement operating procedures and reporting processes.
About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Specialist, HSE Compliance to drive safety and environmental excellence across operations in North and Latin America.
This role serves as a subject matter expert in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, supporting systems, audits, and regulatory initiatives. You will play a critical role in strengthening compliance programs, improving HSE systems, and enabling safe, sustainable operations across the region.
Location: Remote Based: Eastern or Central US Preferred and must have reasonable access to a major airport .
Scope & Travel
Geographic scope: U.S., Canada, Mexico, with very limited/occasional support for Brazil
Travel expectation of 50–60%, typically aligned to audit schedules
Travel is generally planned and predictable with flexibility to travel with limited notice based on business needs

What You’ll Do
Ensure compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations across operational sites in the Americas
Act as the key contact for environmental permits, including applications, renewals, and compliance management
Support and enhance HSE systems, including incident reporting, hazard tracking, and safety observation tools
Contribute to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certification and audit readiness activities
Support execution of the global audit program, including tracking corrective actions and outcomes
Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance processes and documentation standards are met
Deliver training and support adoption of HSE tools and processes across the region
Contribute to emergency response initiatives and regional communication programs
Collaborate with cross-functional and regional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement

What You Bring
Required:
3+ years of experience in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management
OSHA certification (or equivalent)
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and environmental standards
Ability to work independently in a matrixed, regional environment
Preferred:
Degree in environmental science, safety, or a related discipline
Experience supporting ISO certification processes
Additional language skills (Spanish, Portuguese, or French)
Key Skills:
Strong knowledge of HSE compliance and regulations
Data analysis and reporting skills, including Excel
Experience with HSE systems and tools

Compensation Statement:
The compensation range for this position is $76,000 to $105,000 per year. Salary & hourly ranges provided take into account a wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications, geographic differentials and other business and organizational needs. Therefore, actual amounts offered may be higher or lower than the range provided.
