Position – Sr. Specialist – FEA*
Location : Noida
Position Requirements
Be a SME across the organization and provide technical guidance to other FEA engineers within Pentair. Identify the opportunities for expanding FEA support across various sites withing organization. Identify skill gaps within the FEA engineers and work with their managers to bridge the gap. Driving a change within the FEA domain by defining/improving processes. Define and improve Key Performance metrics for FEA domain. Lead multiple engineering projects simultaneously for cost reductions, failure analysis through finite element analysis (FEA) and provide meaningful results in a timely manner.
Minimum Eight (8) years of experience in FEA domain with hands on experience of model mesh, solvers, linear and non-linear analysis, modal / dynamic analysis, material properties characterization, drop & crash analysis, model correlation. Must be a good team player with the ability to support cross functional teams located across site engineering offices within Pentair.
Software Skills
- FEA – especially ANSYS
- CAD- especially SolidWorks
- Experience of Python coding for automation will have an added advantage

- Global Project team (engineering) members
- Local Engineering Team members
- Project leads, people managers, lab technicians
Qualifications and Experience:
M.E. / M. Tech/PhD with minimum 8-10 years of experience in FEA domain.
Essential functions:
- Define and control the key performance metrics for FEA domain
- Rotor dynamics, modal analysis
- Simulate different existing designs and find the opportunity to optimize the product.
- Field failure analysis through FEA
- Prepare/review technical documentation related to design validation and communicate it with counterparts
Desired exposure to:
- AI-assisted engineering tools (Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, ANSYS AI-powered capabilities) to improve simulation workflow efficiency
- Exposure to Digital Twin or Model-Based Engineering concept

- Strong Analytical & Team Building skills
- Good communication and presentation skills

Skills Required
- Master's (M.E./M.Tech) or PhD in relevant engineering field

- Proficiency with ANSYS for FEA

- Experience with Python coding for automation
