Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions using AWS and Azure services and technologies.
2. Lead the architectural design and development of cloud-based applications, ensuring they meet business requirements, performance objectives, and industry best practices.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and project managers, to design and deliver integrated solutions that align with business goals.
4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
5. Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing infrastructure and applications, identifying areas for optimization, migration, or consolidation to the AWS platform.
6. Develop and maintain architectural standards, guidelines, and documentation, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and governance frameworks.
7. Stay updated with the latest AWS services, features, and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and recommending relevant solutions to stakeholders.
8. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and timelines, providing accurate estimations and resource planning for successful project delivery.
9. Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party tools, services, and frameworks to enhance the AWS ecosystem and improve operational efficiency.
10. Act as a subject matter expert in AWS architecture and assist in resolving complex technical challenges and issues.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Development experience with AWS SDKs for backend applications/services in Python or Java or C# or Go is must.
Experience in architecting and designing cloud solutions with strong knowledge of architectural patterns, best practices, and methodologies for building scalable and resilient cloud applications.
Proficient in cloud security principles and data protection techniques in the AWS environment such as encryption at rest and in transit.
Demonstrated ability to lead and drive large-scale cloud migration or transformation projects, from assessment and planning to implementation and optimization.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and propose innovative solutions to meet business requirements.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
