Soln Architecture (Big Data):
• Define the Optimal architecture of a solution for a program or a project, leveraging existing patterns and tools.
• Contribute to the development of architectural standards, and the direction and design of architecture for a business or technical domain.
• Contribute to efforts to elaborate and communicate the architecture to project teams
• Engaging with multiple stakeholders (DAP /E architecture / infrastructure / vendor partners)medium to large-sized complexity of projects
• Drive successful execution based on agreed solution architecture design.
• Manage complexities of multiple solution components / coordination across diverse stakeholder groups
Data Engineering:
• Be Accountable for managing Data Engineering deliverables for one or more assigned projects.
• Direct, oversee and coordinate all activities, deliverables and manage Data Engineering development and Data Engineering Assets.
• Ensure development plans are executed efficiently with timely and high-quality deliverables. Be Responsible for end-to-end deliverables in data engineering
• Lead, contribute to and implement initiatives to establish and maintain Data management as best in class in the industry.
• Responsible for assessing and ensuring data and programming quality, process adherence, appropriate documentation, system compliance, Facilitate sharing of resources between groups in order to meet company goals and objectives.
Job Description
Major accountabilities:
- Develop architectural solutions for a complex business area or deliver architectural services or governance activities.
- Utilize architecture patterns to suggest the most adequate utilization of technical platforms in support of the holistic solution architecture design.
- Work closely and liaison with Central DAP team to bring back their vision into our domain. and integrate the ideas into our platform and ways of working, to represent us in DAP team and put forth our analysis to support / limit the platform recommendations and changes.
- Proactively envision and perform PoCs, individually or in collaboration with DAP and EA teams.
- Maintain and evolve Architecture tools and platforms, principles, policies and standards -Engage internal and vendor project teams to explain proposed Architecture and ensure technical governance of implementation
- Leads Data engineering activities for high priority/complex programs/projects
- Build and maintain effective working relationship with cross projects and with DAP team.
- Provide necessary help and support to address and resolve issues, Identifies solutions for remediation.
- Effectively engage with the chosen SI Partner(s) and collaboratively strive to deliver business value.
- Contribute enterprise grade and state of the art Solution Design and Architecture with maximizing re-usability, configurability and scalability.
- Ensure top class and state of the art engineering delivery, code management, automation and strive for highest efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to Security and Compliance policies and procedures as well as with other Novartis guidelines and standards.
Key performance indicators:
- Consistent domain / platform architecture
- Completeness and functionality of platform landscape
- Documented architecture pattern(s) in the architecture handbook of the solution
- Operational and cost efficiency by design and deployment of reusable assets, frameworks, taxonomy and other architectural and engineering artifacts.
- Achieve high level of quality, Development timeliness and maturity, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Full adherence to Governance and ensuring no critical audit findings
- Adherence to Novartis policy and guidelines
Minimum Requirements:
Work Experience:
- 10 + years’ experience in data domain (incl. engineering and architectural) in large multinational company setting.
- Functional Breadth.
- Leading large and/or diverse multi-functional teams.
- Geographic Scope and Collaborating across boundaries.
- Cross Cultural Experience.
- People Leadership
- Project Management.
Skills:
- Data Technologies and Big data Platform expertise, including new and upcoming technologies.
- Solution Architecture for complex programs and products.
- Data Engineering expertise including delivery responsibility for DE in large programs/projects
- Holistic understanding of Enterprise Data Management practice.
- Experience with Vendor management.
- Consulting and Influencing Skills, across cross teams, groups and domains.

- English.
