We are seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to join American Tower’s Supply Chain Management organization’s Sourcing and Vendor Management team. The team strategically sources quality materials and services at the lowest total cost while enabling effective and efficient purchasing solutions and enhancing supplier partnerships. Day to day you will drive the execution of the commodity sourcing strategy and end-to-end supply chain performance management. As a Senior Sourcing Specialist, you will partner cross-functionally to challenge the status quo while upholding the highest levels of integrity and compliance.
Responsibilities- Lead the sourcing process for assigned spend categories and assist the
Category Manager with developing the overall sourcing strategy and
opportunity assessment. - Drive organizational sourcing strategies through tactical and innovative
sourcing programs; adapt to changing market conditions, support new
business opportunities, and deliver on cost reduction strategies. - Develop electronic request for proposal and negotiation strategies to deliver
optimal cost values and supply assurances. - Successfully manage multiple complex projects, enabling consistent
implementations. - Identify and manage procurement risks to minimize negative impacts on
organizational objectives while encouraging opportunities and innovations. - Apply industry-specific research to ensure the sourcing approach identifies
risks and insights are leveraged to drive value. - Apply deep supply market intelligence, vendor performance scorecards, and
cost benchmarking to manage price fluctuations and continually improve
results and control of spending. - Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to provide strategic
insights, resolve complex issues, and deliver high-performance cost,
service, and quality outcomes. - Assist with creating or amending department policies and processes.
- Monitor enterprise resource planning systems to ensure successful
purchasing processes and order acceptances. - Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Business, Supply Chain, Risk Management, or a related field preferred.
- Advanced English and Spanish.
- A minimum of 5 years of supplier performance, procurement, or compliance experience required.
- Strong understanding of contract management, supplier governance, and risk frameworks required.
- Knowledge of and practical experience with strategic sourcing concepts and leading practices,
including:
- Market analysis and benchmarking,
- Contractual negotiation and contract management processes and insights,
- Supplier performance management,
- Supplier risk analysis, and
- Oracle management tools. - Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, required. Oracle Supply Chain module experience preferred.
- Professional certifications (Certified Public Manager, Certified Professional in Supply Management, Certified in Production and Inventory Management) preferred.
- Approximately 5% of travel is required to support the position's responsibilities.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and
professionally achieve results. - Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes
through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
Skills Required

- Bachelor’s degree concentration in Business, Supply Chain, Risk Management, or a related field
- Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management, Certified in Production and Inventory Management, or Certified Public Manager
- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
