As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will strive to become a trusted advisor to your stakeholders and will be responsible for assigned spend categories within Indirect Procurement, including the associated suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the sourcing strategy. This person will drive sourcing initiatives and strategies, which have a significant financial impact for specific functional/operational areas or specific spend categories. In addition, you will deliver value-added category management activities which include client stakeholder management, contract management, supplier performance / risk management, supply market monitoring, continuous improvement, ongoing cost reductions, supplier review and issue resolution. The ideal candidate operates with a strategic, global, and innovative mindset.

What you can expect in this role

This role will primarily support the Information Technology (IT) category

Build a trusted business partnership with internal stakeholders to help drive category strategy and new cost reduction initiatives.

Responsible for independently managing a pipeline of projects in an effective, organized, and timely manner

Lead the development of strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate price, terms and contractual requirements with suppliers for mid to large sized value, HR, Finance and Legal products and services

Support global organization in leveraging best practices in all phases of contracting processes for supplier products and services.

Work with all levels of the organization to transform business requirements for products and services into actionable scope of works/specifications.
What you will need to succeed

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

5 - 8+ years in category or commodity management.
