Position Summary
The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, exceptional communication and project management skills. Have a proven track record of supporting corporate supplier diversity initiatives including the development and management of good faith outreach sourcing events. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, the Sr. Sourcing Analyst will be a key contributor in supporting all global supplier diversity initiatives.
Support all global supplier diversity initiatives that include leading/managing sourcing events and tracking contract compliance.
Qualifications
Identify Sourcing Opportunities – Review and understand customer RFP requirements particularly regarding Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). Create a timeline and summarize the MBE requirements associated with each RFP. Actively search for and identify potential sourcing opportunities within the organization. Help with the development and management of Scope of Work (SOW) for each contract type. Contribute to and execute annual plans around increasing MBE spend in line with our Global procurement targets, in partnership with the SG category managers and Procurement Leadership. Facilitate project tasks with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall supplier diversity initiatives.
Conduct Market Research – Maintain a supplier diversity dashboard. Gather and analyze market intelligence to stay informed about industry trends, supplier capabilities, pricing dynamics, and emerging technologies. Participate in supplier diversity conferences as needed to promote collaboration.
Supplier Evaluation & Selection – Evaluate potential suppliers based on predetermined criteria such as NAICS codes, diverse certification type, being active on each state lottery website as an approved diverse supplier and identifying the value-added opportunities available. Work closely with the category managers to stay informed on each supplier’s financial stability, quality, capacity, delivery capabilities, and alignment of roadmap with Scientific Games’ strategic objectives.
Contracting - Support the administrative tasks to secure and track contractual agreements. Provide continuous project management support for diverse initiatives.
Total Cost Analysis – Support in the preparation of comprehensive cost analysis. Gather, summarize and present supplier proposals to Procurement Leadership identifying potential risks associated with sourcing decisions.
Supplier Relationship Management – Continuously monitor diverse suppliers to track contract compliance. Support the Category Managers as needed to maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration, address performance issues, explore cost-savings opportunities, and mitigate risks.
Supply Chain Risk Assessment – Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continued contract compliance, continuity of supply, minimize disruptions, and protect the organization’s interests.
Drive Continuous Improvement – Regularly review and track all diverse spending for each state lottery. Identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency and effectiveness of the Procurement function. Submit monthly diverse tracking reports to Procurement Leadership.
Stakeholder Collaboration – Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to inform them of how we are tracking against the supplier diversity initiatives. Help identify ways to increase value added diverse partnerships to show continuous growth.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting – Work closely with the category managers to review how diverse suppliers’ performance including cost savings, quality improvements, and delivery reliability, and provide regular updates to Procurement Leadership.
Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in Project Management or Sourcing of commodity-based products or indirect services.
- Sourcing Event Management (RFx) and data analytics experience strongly preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and project management skills.
- Proficiency in excel and relevant procurement software and tools (eSourcing, eProcurement, Spend Analytics)
Desired
- Industry certification in sourcing (Certified Supply Management Professional or equivalent) or project management (Project Management Professional – PMP)
