Key Responsibilities
- Core Development: Code server-side logic using SFCC Script (JavaScript/ECMAScript) and the Commerce Cloud Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA).
- System Integration: Connect SFCC with third-party systems including ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateways, and shipping providers.
- API Management: Develop and optimize custom REST/SOAP APIs and utilize SFCC Open Commerce API (OCAPI) and Commerce API (SCAPI).
- Performance Tuning: Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks, pipeline blocks, and resource-intensive scripts.
- Data Jobs: Create and manage Business Manager configurations, catalog feeds, data replication, and custom metadata.
- Code Quality: Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and maintain technical documentation to ensure robust deployments.
Required Technical Skills
- Platform Experience: Strong backend experience with SFCC / Demandware, specifically using SFRA and Controllers.
- Languages: Advanced proficiency in server-side JavaScript (Node.js concepts), HTML, XML, and JSON.
- Web Services: Deep knowledge of REST, SOAP, and secure authentication methods (OAuth, JWT).
- Database & Architecture: Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and transactional e-commerce workflows.
- Tools: Experience with Git, build tools (Webpack, Gulp), and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
