Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for administration of Vizient’s enterprise BI platforms focusing on Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric. This role supports the ongoing shift to a modern analytics architecture, helping drive migrations, capacity planning, platform governance, and service operations across the BI ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Power BI Service and Microsoft Fabric capacities, including workspace setup, access controls, gateway configuration, licensing, and quarterly updates.
- Monitor system health and capacity utilization using Fabric telemetry, resolving issues proactively and supporting right-sizing decisions.
- Develop and document best practices for workspace setup, dataset optimization, and visualization lifecycle management.
- Lead cross-functional planning to evaluate and plan platform upgrades, decommissioning, and migrations.
- Partner with business teams and developers to align platform support with product goals and coordinate transitions from legacy tools.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for platform support, handling triage, root cause analysis, and high-severity incident response.
- Participate in after-hours deployment rotation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience administering Power BI in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of platform governance, access management, and change control practices.
- Skilled in platform security, monitoring, automation (APIs, scripting), and environment management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including capacity planning, telemetry analysis, and workload migration, is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is preferred.
- Position is a Hybrid position working thee days a week in an office location.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.This position is also incentive eligible.
