Sr Software Engineer

What's the role?

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving complex, scalable services. You will take end‑to‑end ownership of features and platform enhancements, from design through deployment and operation, while contributing to engineering best practices and a strong team culture.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining complex backend services using Java, Scala, or Python
• Leading the delivery of features and platform improvements with full lifecycle ownership
• Architecting, building, and operating scalable, reliable services on AWS
• Creating and communicating technical designs through clear proposals, design specifications, and diagrams
• Collaborating effectively with globally distributed engineers, architects, product managers, and cross‑functional partners
• Driving engineering best practices with a focus on simplicity, quality, reliability, and measurable impact
• Making balanced technical decisions by evaluating trade‑offs between delivery speed, quality, and long‑term maintainability
• Recommending and justifying architectural or product changes using data‑driven reasoning
• Mentoring team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering culture, processes, and standards

Who are you?

You are an experienced software engineer with strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for building high‑quality systems. You bring deep technical expertise along with a collaborative mindset and a desire to make an impact.

• 4+ years of Expereince Strong coding experience in Java or Scala, or Python, with the ability to design and maintain complex, production‑grade services
• Hands‑on experience building and operating scalable services in a cloud environment, preferably AWS
• Experience working with distributed systems, service‑oriented architectures, and modern development practices
• The ability to communicate technical ideas clearly through written and visual documentation
• Experience collaborating with global and cross‑functional stakeholders
• A thoughtful, data‑informed approach to technical decision‑making
• An interest in using AI‑powered coding assistants (such as Copilot) to improve productivity, including writing effective prompts for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation
• A mentoring mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
